This project was a simulated art test, originally completed over four weeks and then polished later for about a week. My instructions were to create the shield and make it as realistic and historically accurate as possible.

All models were made in 3DS Max, with the fabric being sculpted in ZBrush. Unwraps were all done in Max. Baking and Texturing were primarily done in Substance Painter with some masks and patterns being created in Photoshop. The final renders were taken inside of Unreal Engine 4.

The total time spent was around 70 hours, including reference gathering, material breakdowns, modeling, unwrapping, texturing, and setting up the final scene in Unreal.
